HoloPatient
Standardized patients, brought to life as holograms.
HoloPatient turns volumetric-captured, hyperrealistic patients into repeatable encounters for building patient assessment, clinical reasoning, and communication. Learners take a history — now through real-time AI conversation — observe realistic signs and symptoms, and watch the patient change across staged scenes. From anaphylaxis and stroke to sensitive cases like sexual assault, students get safe, standardized exposure to presentations they'd rarely meet in placement — no manikins required.

Practice that behaves like a real patient.
See what a textbook can't show you
Each case plays out across staged scenes with realistic, evolving signs and symptoms — many almost impossible to simulate or rarely seen in placement. Learners read early, middle, and late cues and reason through what's happening, building assessment and clinical judgment on presentations that would otherwise wait for a real patient.
The problem it solves: Static manikins and paper cases can't show a condition evolving, so learners rarely practice recognizing deterioration or reasoning through it until it's a real patient.
Safe to fail, again and again
Replay a stage, pause at a critical moment, and work a case at a learner's level. Students practice acute and sensitive presentations — from anaphylaxis to domestic violence — as often as they need, making mistakes and trying again without risk to a real patient.
The problem it solves: Real and high-fidelity practice is scarce and one-shot; high-risk and sensitive cases are hard to expose learners to safely.
The reach of a cohort, without the cost of SPs
One facilitator can run a full cohort in any open room — no simulation lab or XR room required. HoloPatient delivers consistent, rigorous cases at a fraction of the cost of standardized patients, including presentations like anaphylaxis or a sexual assault exam that can't safely or realistically be staged with an actor at all.
The problem it solves: Manikins, sim suites, and SPs are expensive and capacity-limited, and some cases can't be simulated with them.
Everything a facilitator needs to run the session.
Staged, evolving scenes
3–6 staged clips per case, linear and branching, showing realistic deterioration and improvement.
Editable, live vital signs
Adjust vitals in real time to match difficulty to a learner's level or your objectives.
Instructor dashboard
Pause, fast-forward, and skip clips, and edit vitals from one place.
Real-time AI patient conversations
Learners talk directly with the patient to take a history and practice communication, then move into assessment.
Multi-user sessions
A whole team can join one holographic patient together.
Evidence-based facilitator guides
Expert-created objectives, step-by-step questions, red-flag cues, and differential-diagnosis prompts that guide clinical reasoning and standardize prep.

In the skills lab, or any open classroom.
In the skills lab or any open classroom, a faculty member launches a sepsis scenario on the room's shared display and on learners' devices. Students gather around the holographic patient, read the evolving signs and symptoms, take vitals as they shift, and — using real-time AI conversation — take a history directly from the patient before voicing their assessment. At a red-flag moment the facilitator pauses, poses a question from the guide, then branches the scenario based on the group's reasoning. Afterward the cohort works through the same standardized objectives — and the next group runs the identical case, with the same rigor.

AI Conversations
Every conversation, rehearsed before it counts.
Have learners take a full history and rehearse difficult conversations with an AI patient, then step into HoloPatient to assess the case and reason through it. Two halves of the same clinical encounter.
